Silver Bush Morning Glory (Convolvulus cneorum)

DESCRIPTION
Silver Bush Morning Glory
Convolvulus cneorum
The Silver Bush Morning Glory is a true Mediterranean native and lives up to its name thanks to its blunt-tipped leaves which are covered with tiny hairs that help give its metallic silver sheen! It’s not just the leaves that are stunning, in the spring and summer, they are covered with masses of white morning glory flowers! Convolvulus cneorum love to grow in our Southern California climate where they thrive in full sun, so we love to plant them as an attractive ground cover that can add curb appeal. We also love to plant them as a low growing shrub where they add a nice contrast in rocky landscapes and in a cactus garden.
This Convolvulus plant is drought tolerant once established and has low to moderate watering needs, so it’s a fairly low maintenance plant that almost anyone can care for. Silver Bush Morning Glory have a fast growth rate and are evergreen, so you can enjoy the foliage all year long. Their neat dense round shape and low litter habit also makes them a good choice for poolside planting, where you can enjoy the colorful mass while floating on a pool raft!
Convolvulus cneorum is a welcome addition to any size landscape. Cutting back its foliage every two to three years is a great way to refresh the look of this plant. At Palm Paradise we do what no one else does, we grow all our own plants and trees from our own private stock, so we can assure their quality is the absolute best you’ll find anywhere. Trees, palms, plants – we got them and can do all the work for you!
