Queen Victoria Agave (Agave victoriae-reginae)
Queen Victoria Agave
Queen Victoria Agave, it’s smaller than most Agave species, but has stunning features nonetheless! And, since they’re relatively small sized, it’s possible to achieve the maximum effect of planting them in clusters or rows, which helps to make this such a popular succulent for any size landscape. Agave victoriae-reginae have an almost perfect, compact, structured shape, featuring a rosette of toothless spine tipped leaves that are accented with delicate white markings. This is a popular landscaping plant for Southern California coastal communities as well as inland and into the desert. We love to plant them in succulent gardens to add curb appeal and where its beauty can be admired by all!
Queen Victoria Agave is an evergreen with a slow growth rate and loves to grow with full sun exposure. Once established, this royal succulent requires low to moderate watering needs, so it’s a very easy to care for plant that’s drought tolerant, too! This waterwise plant is a favorite gift plant, so if you’re looking for a nice gift that keeps on giving for years, give Agave victoriae to someone you love! We love to plant them as a focal point in gardens, and some of our customers use them as a single specimen in pots. You’re going to want to show off the look of this agave, so place them near entryways and along pathways. It can add a great textural contrast when planted in a rock garden, too. This is a great design plant no matter how you choose to use it!
At Palm Paradise, we grow our own Queen Victoria Agave from our own private stock of premium quality specimens, and have been doing so for over 20 years. We are proud to say that we are unique growers and do what no one else does, we assure their quality is the best you’ll find anywhere!
